When I changed my name, I was looking for a new name that was gender-neutral to masculine, because my birth name was too feminine for my comfort. I felt gender dysphoria when people used my old name, and felt better (although awkward at first) when hearing my new name. Four years later, I’m happy and satisfied that I chose a new name.
